The cars making up each starting grid at the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix all capture the essence of bygone motor racing. Except from the fact that usually competitors in this class are a bit younger than the cars in which they drive. All cars in this class have to be build between 1961 and 1965 and thus pretty even technically. If that also goes for the drivers – many of whom have birth certificates dated in the same period – we will have to see. Read more

The GTS class was extremely popular with racing spectators during the early 60s. Maybe that’s why also manufacturers took these cars to their hearts and development departments with huge budgets and resources. There was prestige and good PR in winning motor races. Read more
