PRO/AM
One of the most popular races at the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is the traditional Royal ProAm. In this race His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark, who is a very competent historic racer, together with international top drivers from all over the world share cars with some of the best Danish amateurs.
Over the years internationally renowned stars such as David Brabham, Dindo Capello, Derek Bell, Jackie Oliver, Johnny Herbert, Tom Kristensen, Jan Magnussen, Kurt Thiim and Thorkild Thyrring have raced each other and their Danish amateur colleagues front lined by HRH Prince Joachim.
And the cars for this race: Alfa GTAms, Mustangs, Porsches, Lotus Cortinas, Ford Escorts RS and BDAs. Time will tell how the grid will be composed exactly for this year’s Royal ProAm.
