In connection with CHGP on July 30th – 321th the audience may purchase a ride as a passenger next to a race driver, and all raised funds are donated equally between the Children and Youth program at the National Hospital and the Danish Red Cross.
Race for Riget has become a permanent element at the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, and a great opportunity for spectators to get up close to all the professional drivers. In one hour both Saturday and Sunday, it is possible for all guests and visitors at Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, to buy a coveted ride on the thrilling race track and all raised funds are donated entirely to charity.
Since Race for Riget first rolled out on the fire hot asphalt in 2010, the overall donation has reached 1.7 million. This year, the raised amount donated will be divided equally between the Children and Youth Program at the National Hospital and the Danish Red Cross.
The four-time Le Mans winner Jan Magnussen is the ambassador of Race for Riget, and the Danish race driver is joined by a string of prominent racer profiles, including the 9-times Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, Porsche factory driver Michael Christensen, the two Young drivers from Aston Martin Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen and sports car driving Christoffer Nygaard and rallycross driver Ulrik Linnemann.

Tickets to Race for Riget Race can be bought during the weekend at Bellahøj Park in the paddock area called R2. Ticket sales commence both Saturday and Sunday morning on July 30th and 31st at 09:00 in the Race for Riget ticket booth, and you can buy tickets in three different categories, starting with 1000 DKK (Bronze), 1500 DKK (Silver) and 2,500 DKK for Gold category, where it is also possible to select your favorite driver – as long as tickets are available.
