As always, the program for Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix includes many historic classes along with the modern class, Danish Thundersport Championship, and the popular Royal Pro/Am race, which takes place on both Saturday and Sunday. In Royal Pro/Am a professional race driver teams up with a skilled amateur in his/her historic racecar.

Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix will also host the international Formula 1-series, HGPCA, presenting a line-up of more than 50 historic Formula 1-racecars.

HGPCA, Historic Grand Prix Cars Association, is for drivers and owners of historic Grand Prix racecars. Since 1979, members of this series have passionately strived to preserve and honour the wonderful racecars dating back from the two-seaters of the 1920s to the cigar-shaped single-seaters of the 1960s. Often, more than 50 cars line up on the grid in two different classes, respectively ”Pre-1961” and “Pre-1966”, both in various classifications. The last time racecars from these magnificent decades visited Denmark was in the 1960s at Roskilde Ring as part of the new post-war era where the interest in cars virtually exploded.

The drivers’ registration is now open for the following race classes:

  • Class C/D – Historic cars until 1971
  • Class E – Historic cars until 1986
  • Class F – Formula Junior
  • Class L – Legend Car Cup
  • Pre 61 – Front engine F1
  • Pre 66 – Rear engine F1
