”Race for Charity” is a regular feature at Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix and since 2010, the popular event has collected nearly 3 million DKK – an amount which has been donated in full to charity. In 2017, Race for Charity collected a record-breaking amount of DKK 600.000, which was donated to the Children and Youth Program at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen Central Hospital, shortly after the historic race weekend.
The financial funds from Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix and Race for Charity support the relief efforts and make it possible for the Children and Youth Program to purchase toys, teddybears, games, pc’s and to take the children on sightseeing trips in Copenhagen or on trips to the Tivoli Gardens. This makes a big and positive difference to the hospitalized children and teenagers.
Recently, the team behind Race for Charity visited Rigshospitalet again, and this time they brought a large number of fanny packs as gifts from CHGP. At the same occasion, Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix announced that they have – once again – chosen the Children and Youth Program at Rigshospitalet to receive the collected funds from the 2018 Race for Charity.
