Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix postponed to 2021

The first weekend of August traditionally offers historic motorsport with lots of exciting and dramatic races as well as entertainment for the whole family among the many exhibitions on the square. With the government’s and the authorities’ orders and recommendations to limit the spread of corona infection, the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix was postponed until 9-11. October.

After several months of intense struggle to plan the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix in October, we must unfortunately announce with great regret that the latest developments in Danish society do not allow for a health-sounding conduction of the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix this year.

When the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix kicks off, more than 40,000 people will gather over one weekend centered around our common interest in the history of motorsport. In order for our many volunteers, guests, exhibitors, partners and historical drivers to be able to enjoy the weekend in a safe environment, the 20th Grand Prix will not be held in 2020.

Today we have made the decision to continue working towards an even bigger Grand Prix in Copenhagen on 6-8. August 2021. We look forward to welcoming you to the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix 2021.

Already now a positive picture is being drawn of great support for the postponement of the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix among partners, drivers and volunteers. We look forward to arranging an even bigger event in 2021 with even greater attendance.
